Arrange Your Stay

Twelve rooms in a century-old house on a hilltop above Charlotte Amalie harbour, still being restored. Choose your dates below. The rate you see is the rate you pay.

  • Tax is included in the rate — the 12.5% territorial hotel room tax is already in the price you see. One $25 cleaning fee per stay is added, not per night, and there is no resort fee.
  • Fifteen minutes from the airport, with free parking and a level walk to the door.
  • A kitchen in every room, for cooking what you find at the market.
  • Fibre at 600 Mbps, if you are bringing work with you.
  • Five beaches within ten minutes — no need to settle on one.

Cara Suzy — thank you for allowing us extra time at your hotel. We found it boundlessly blissful and will tell our friends. We hope to come back in a year or two.

G. Piazza, February 2025

Getting here

Boundless Bliss sits on Raphune Hill, fifteen minutes from the airport.

  • Taxis wait just outside baggage claim, and the fares are posted on the wall there. Island fares are charged per person rather than per car — around $15–20 each up to Raphune Hill, starting at $11 in a shared cab, plus a few dollars a bag.
  • Rental desks are at the same exit, if you would rather drive yourself.
  • Parking is free: twelve spaces in front of the house, with more beyond them.
  • From the car it is about forty-five paces to the front desk, flat the whole way, no steps at all. You will pass most of the rooms as you come. The upper floor is reached by stairs.

Arriving

Check in from 2:00 PM, out by 11:00 AM — Atlantic Standard Time, which St. Thomas keeps all year round.

Come to the desk in the lobby with photo ID and the card you booked with. We will take a few details and hand you your room, your directions and your access code. Someone is at the desk from seven in the morning until eleven at night, and the phone reaches us at any hour.

In every room

  • A kitchen or kitchenette with a range, and in some rooms a full oven
  • An apartment-sized refrigerator and freezer
  • Air conditioning
  • Fibre-optic Wi-Fi at 600 Mbps
  • A coffee maker, with coffee and sugar
  • Filtered drinking water

The way we live here

Boundless Bliss is a VICC-certified eco-business, and that shapes the feel of a stay here more than any list of features can.

We filter our own drinking water — UV light and charcoal — so there is no need for a case of plastic in the corner. Coffee and sugar come loose rather than in packets. Most of what is in your room is meant to be used again. Towels and linen are changed when they need changing rather than on a schedule, and housekeeping comes when you ask for it — $75 during your stay — rather than through your door each morning. Our vegetation is composted, so none of it reaches the landfill. We use little plastic and recycle what we do.

Some guests arrive already living this way and settle straight in. If you are used to a resort, it is a different rhythm: fewer people moving through your room, and more of the day your own.

Five beaches, all within ten minutes

Most places on St. Thomas commit you to one stretch of coast. From Raphune Hill you can choose by the mood of the morning.

  • Magens Bay — the famous one, and worth the entrance fee once.
  • Coki — the aquarium, chairs and umbrellas, food, drink and often music. $5 to park.
  • Lindquist — wide, and usually near-empty.
  • Sapphire — watersports, boat charters, and full moon parties.
  • Lindbergh Bay — nearest the airport, good for a last swim before a flight.

Around the hill

Cost-U-Less is two minutes down the road, first streetlight on the left, with Whiskey Business, a cinema and a gym in the same plaza. There is no sidewalk on that stretch, so take the car — or ride the Safari, the open-air buses that run the length of the island for $2 each way, and see rather more of St. Thomas than you would through a windscreen.

Rates

Rates run from $209 to $315 a night across the year for our harbour-view rooms, with the 12.5% territorial hotel tax already included. One $25 cleaning fee covers the whole stay rather than each night, and no resort fee is added at any point — the total you see before you confirm is the total you pay.

June brings the low season, and September lower still. High season begins around Thanksgiving. The island fills for Carnival — 26 April to 6 May — when rooms across St. Thomas go early.

A $150 deposit hold is placed at check-in and released when you leave.

Staying longer

You can stay with us up to ninety days, and we keep monthly rates for those who do. With a kitchen and fibre in every room, a good many of our guests are here to live for a while rather than to visit — to work, to write, to recover, to be somewhere green and quiet with the harbour below.

The whole house can be taken as a buyout, and events are arranged by contract. Write to us and we will put something together.

Monthly bookings are held with a 50% deposit. They can be cancelled without charge up to seven days before arrival; inside seven days the full amount stands, since a month held for one guest is a month we cannot offer to another.

Still to come

A century-old house is never quite finished. We are perhaps a quarter of the way through what we have planned, and this is the rest of it:

  • A harbour-facing event space and infinity pool, for gatherings of up to 200
  • A rooftop lounge and fitness space
  • A restaurant on the property
  • Therapeutic wellness programming, a retreat and a spa
  • Solar power and back-up, returning power to the public grid
  • Agri-tourism — fruit, flowers and trees grown here and shared

None of it is open yet. All of it is underway, and you are welcome to watch it arrive.

Before you book

  • Guests must be 21 or older to reserve.
  • Visa, Mastercard and Discover. The name on your ID should match the card.
  • Rates cover two adults, and one child stays free. Any additional guest is $100 for the whole stay, not per night.
  • One pet is welcome at $150, with licence and documentation. A service animal stays at no charge.
  • The house is non-smoking throughout.
  • Our standard rate is Flexible 24hr — cancel without charge up to 24 hours before arrival, with the deposit taken on the day you come. Some discounted rates are non-refundable, and say so before you choose them.
  • Monthly bookings follow the terms above: 50% deposit, free cancellation to seven days, full amount inside that.

The rest is on our Policies page.
